The purpose of this blog is to report, discuss and muse on issues relating to Catholic faith and liturgy. We have no formal training on the topic, and scant-little informal training. We make no pretense of authority or expertise. However, this is our faith. It’s not rocket science. Despite the vital role liturgy plays in our lives, liturgical ignorance is prevalent among the faithful, and even basic catechesis once given to children is now lost on your average Catholic in the pew. We believe that the Church can help us repair the incongruities between how we worship, what we believe and how we live. Growing in appreciation for faith and liturgy is something anyone can do. If you are Catholic, you might as well get to know more about why you are there on Sunday since it’s your time invested.
Now considering our rigorous training, or lack thereof, please forgive us for any unfortunate heresy that we might accidentally post. We will do our best to stay within the Truth. If we should happen to post a heresy, please let us know that, as charitably as is due, in the comments.
I'm the one holding the "ALL ARE WELCOMED IN THIS PLACE" sign. Correct?
